Blackrock Networks, Inc. is planning to offer an Introduction to Programming class for Burlington middle school students from January to June 2018. The class will cover the basics of "real" computer programming in Python, an easy to learn language that is used today in many companies.
The children will learn how to read, write, and modify basic Python programs. We will learn about variables, loops, if-then-else statements, and functions. Some of the topics we will cover include: how to use Python to draw pictures, how to write a Math quiz, how to make secret messages, and how to write simple programs to do cool things in Minecraft. The class is 15 weeks long.
